Donation Acceptance & Refusal Policy
Safeguarding organizational independence, transparency, and ethical alignment in all fundraising activities.
1. Purpose
Reaching Sky Foundation solicits and accepts gifts for purposes that will help the foundation further and fulfill its public charitable mission. This policy establishes the criteria by which gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, and donations are accepted or declined.
2. General Principles
We value every donor who chooses to support our youth empowerment and healthcare initiatives. However, the Foundation will not accept any gift that:
- Compromises the organizational mission, independence, or ethical standing of RSF.
- Imposes restrictions that inhibit our ability to serve vulnerable populations equitably.
- Creates an impermissible conflict of interest for Trustees or staff members.
- Carries unmanageable administrative, financial, or reputational risks.
3. Prohibited Sources of Funding
Reaching Sky Foundation strictly declines donations, sponsorships, or grants originating from entities or individuals primarily associated with:
- Tobacco, vaping, or nicotine manufacturing and distribution.
- Commercial gambling or unregulated betting platforms.
- Arms, munitions, or defense manufacturing.
- Organizations with documented human rights violations or discriminatory hiring practices.
4. Anti-Money Laundering & KYC Compliance
To maintain strict compliance with Indian financial laws (including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Income Tax regulations):
- We do not accept anonymous cash contributions exceeding permissible statutory limits.
- Donors claiming Section 80G tax deductions must furnish their PAN and verifiable address.
- Foreign currency contributions are governed strictly under the provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA).
5. Refusal Procedure
The Board of Trustees reserves the ultimate authority to decline any contribution that does not meet these criteria. If a donation is declined, funds will be returned to the source account promptly with formal written notification.
