Inclusive Culture

Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Policy

Reaffirming our zero-tolerance stance against discrimination and harassment across all programs.

1. Commitment to Diversity & Dignity

Reaching Sky Foundation believes that human diversity is our greatest asset. We are committed to building an inclusive, welcoming, and equitable environment where every volunteer, staff member, intern, and community partner is treated with absolute dignity and respect.

2. Non-Discrimination Policy

Reaching Sky Foundation strictly prohibits discrimination in recruitment, volunteer intake, internship selection, program participation, or compensation on the basis of:

  • Gender, gender identity, or gender expression.
  • Caste, social background, or community origin.
  • Religion, faith, or spiritual beliefs (or absence thereof).
  • Sexual orientation.
  • Physical disability or neurodivergence.
  • Marital status, pregnancy, or family responsibilities.

3. Anti-Harassment & Safe Spaces

We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual harassment, verbal abuse, bullying, intimidation, or retaliation. Any volunteer or employee found engaging in harassment will face immediate suspension and disciplinary action, up to and including reporting to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.

4. Child Safeguarding Principles

Given that our health camps and education drives frequently serve vulnerable children in urban settlements, all volunteers must adhere to strict child protection guidelines:

  • Never being alone with an unaccompanied minor in an unmonitored private space.
  • Obtaining guardian consent before recording photographs or videos of children for advocacy.
  • Treating every child with empathy, dignity, and absolute non-violence.

5. Grievance Redressal

Anyone experiencing or witnessing behavior inconsistent with this policy may file a confidential complaint directly with our Internal Committee via:

Email: contact@reachingsky.org (Subject: Confidential Grievance)
